Tyre Safety
The four small patches of rubber are the only parts of your vehicle in touch with the road so it’s vital that you have the right tyres in good condition, correctly inflated.
If you have a puncture or the tread depth is low, new tyres are a must for legal and safety reasons. Your car may need the wheels aligned and balanced too, Eastmains will do this for you to increase the life of your tyres and reduce their wear. Correct four wheel alignment also improves your fuel economy, handling and driving safety by reducing steering and stability problems.

Fitting Tyres
Eastmains Garage provides new tyres, at great prices, fitting them at a convenient time for you. We recommend Falken Tyres; they are a premium quality product with an affordable price tag. The tyres are designed using the latest Japanese technology and are known for their ultra-high performance. In order to guarantee that you get the most out of your Falken tyres, we are delighted to offer an optional ‘Accidental Damage Warranty‘ with every Falken tyre purchased*. We also provide an emergency tyre fitting service in and around Aberdeenshire.
On average, Aberdeenshire has 197 days per year with more than 0.1 mm of rainfall, that's 16 days a month with a quantity of rain, sleet or snow.
Like with most things in life, you get what you pay for. Millions of pounds are spent on research and development to find the best blend of rubber compounds for premium tyres. Premium tyres ensure optimum wet and dry grip, reduced wear and help reduce road noise levels. Paying more for a tyre means you’ll get a safer, more manageable car that performs well in a variety of conditions. Pay less and you could be putting yourself at a higher risk of accident, particularly if you regularly drive at higher speeds. Is it really worth it?

Why are defective exhaust systems dangerous?
Exhaust gases contain carbon monoxide gas, which is poisonous and odourless, a leaking exhaust could allow carbon monoxide to pass into your car through the heater, air conditioning unit or even an open window. The fist sign of a leaking exhaust could be a severe headache. A leaking exhaust also allows air to reach the oxygen sensors inside the exhaust that increases fuel consumption and can eventually harm the engine as it over-fuels.
Healthy exhaust systems provide;
• Optimum fuel efficiency
• Improved engine performance and
• Noise control and quieter running
Is your car or van is using lot of fuel, it could be because of a faulty exhaust system or perhaps you’ve noticed one of the following:
Noises
• Rattling
• Roaring
• Hissing or popping
Emissions
• Blue smoke – this could indicate a fault in the engine
• White smoke – this could be due to an internal coolant leak or a leaking head gasket or crack in the engine
Visual appearance
• Rust or corrosion on the pipe as well as cracks
Don’t wait, it could be serious, Eastmains will check your exhaust system and identify any possible problems and advise you of any components that need to be replaced.
